China Minsheng Banking Corporation Limited, established in Beijing in 1996, is China’s first national
joint-stock commercial bank initiated and founded primarily by non-state-owned enterprises (NSOEs). The Bank
was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2000 and 2009, respectively. It
has grown into a bank group providing commercial banking, financial leasing, fund management and global
investment banking services. In the Top 1000 World Banks ranking released by The Banker in 2022, China
Minsheng Bank was No.22. In the Fortune Global 500 published by Fortune in 2022, it stood at No. 273.
Since its establishment, China Minsheng Bank has been adhering to the mission of “serving the public and
caring about people’s livelihood”, and has become an important financial force in supporting the development
of the real economy through hard-working and innovative efforts. In recent years, the Bank has been insisting
on returning to the service origin, strengthening fundamental services, expanding basic customer groups,
focusing on key regions and optimizing business structure, and has achieved steady development. As at the end
of 2022, total assets amounted to RMB7.26 trillion and the net assets were nearly RMB600 billion.
On 30 March 2012, the Bank successfully established an overseas branch in Hong Kong, demonstrating the Bank’s
commitment to expanding its business beyond the Chinese Mainland.
China Minsheng Bank established the London representative office in 2016, and the China Minsheng Bank London
Branch was authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) on 2 April 2024. The Branch, regulated by
the PRA, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA),
provides a range of financial products and banking services to its UK, Chinese, and international clients,
including corporate customers and financial institutions.
The Branch has dedicated teams to focus on different areas, including syndicated loans, bilateral loans, money
market transactions, bond investment, etc.
