Based on a new system platform, the new CMBC Personal Internet Banking service system is now able to provide customers with upgraded users’ experience, product service and information security. Its product function menu was re-designed to offer visitors a set of more concise, easy-to-understand and personalized functional names and a more easy-to-use single log-on entry point. In short, it is an easy-to-use, convenient and powerful E-finance service platform that enables CMBC customers to handle their banking needs like bank transfer, remittance, investment, financial planning, wealth protection and increment, SME financing, online payment and credit card service with more flexible, distinctive and convenient options.

 

Fine-featured Services

1. Easy-to-use Single Log-on Entry Point

Unlike the old system that based its system version on E-banking security mechanism used, the new Personal Internet Banking system integrates the old personal platform with the VIP platform into a new platform providing a single log-on entry point for different customers. Or, to put it in another way, it provides a unified Internet Banking system that is accessible to all E-banking customers. While allowing more customers to quickly have a clear understanding about the wide variety of services that CMBC Internet Banking service offers, it can open different functions and applications according to a customer’s security permission. In other words, it can meet both customer needs for an easy-to-use operating process and a secured E-banking environment. In short, it offers CMBC customers with a more secured and convenient one-stop E-banking service platform.

 

2. Function Integration, New Page Design, Easy to Search the Information You need

The new Internet Banking platform has optimized and consolidated different E-banking functions by reducing the numbers of product-oriented functions on menu, having redesigned the first-level menu according to customers’ habit of using menu, and setting up a quick menu including My Account, Transfer and Remittance, Account Management, Investment and Wealth Planning, Payments, Credit Card and other frequently used functions, to offer CMBC customers an easier way to quickly search and find the access to the services he/she needs to handle.

 

3. Personalized Function Name, Easy-to-understand

The new platform re-named various functions in line with a ‘the easiest to understand’ principle, added more personalized tags like ‘My …’ to help understanding, and increased information tips of the entire operating process to help customers with operation. In addition, it added some personalized services like My Account, My Folder, My Deposit, My Loans, My Credit Cards, Info Center, etc, to make it easier and more convenient for a customer to understand our services and handle his/her businesses.

 

4.  Upgraded Cross-bank Cash Concentration, More Effective Account Management   
The Cross-bank Cash Concentration function version 3.0 (CBCC 3.0) available in the new platform has upgraded all concentrated account management functions, streamlined the agreement signature process for cross-bank cash management in the Internet Banking platform, and added a credit-card-based automatic cross bank settlement function. That is to say, now CMBC customers are able to handle information search, bank transfer and other services concerning their personal accounts or corporate accounts opened in CMBC or other banks for themselves or others within the same account management function or transfer/remittance function. In short, now CMBC customers can easily have a clear view over their accounts in CMBC or other banks and effectively and conveniently conduct cross bank account management.

 

5. More Transfer/Remittance Options, Settlement at Finger Tips  
The new platform integrates a variety of money transfer and remittance options, e.g. single, multiple, appointed, SMS-based, email-based, as well as manual/automatic cross-bank cash concentration functions together for the convenience to our customers. In addition to that, appointed time transfer, CMBC inter-accounts transfer, blacklist maintenance and some other functions have been added to meet different customer needs for settlement and make transfer and remittance processes easier, quicker and more convenient.

 

6. More Investment and Wealth Management Options, Help Customers with their Wealth Protection and Increment Needs

The new platform shall provides CMBC customers with some new wealth management products and services, e.g. regional wealth planning, paper gold/silver transaction (to be put online after government approval), savings bonds (to be put online after government approval), etc. Together with the old Money-Produce-Money, Funds, Personal Financial Planning, Online Stock Exchange, Certificated Bonds, Precious Metals T+D, Time-Demand Accounts Conversion, Foreign Exchange Trade and other wealth management products, the new wealth management service are believed to be able to meet the different wealth management needs of customers with different risk appetites and, especially, meet their needs for wealth protection and increment.

 

7. Distinctive SME services, Fast and Effective Business Transactions

The new platform also provides more SEM services with distinctive features. For example, it optimized and consolidated functions like partner accounts, salary payment agent, corporate financial room, LeShouYin, cross-bank corporate-to-personal transfer, etc. In addition to that, it added in its loan services some new small loan products and some new functions like online loan releasing, purpose statement of small amount pledged loans, detailed information inquiry of overdue loans, multiple repaying options of loans under credit limits, personal loan under SME loan limits and other loan releasing under operation-oriented loan limits, etc. In short, with the new SME services, you are able to learn any information about different SME loans at any time without worrying overdue problem and handle your business in an easier and more effectively way.

 

8. Miscellaneous Payments, Good Aids to Everyday Life

Nearly 50 new self-help payment services were added to the new platform and nearly another 100 payment services will be added to the platform in the future. New payment services available now include payment prompt, online order status inquiry, etc. The payment process has also been simplified. Simply by logging on CMBC Internet Banking platform, you could clear gas bills, water bills, power bills, phone bills in a one-stop process. In addition to that, the new platform supports clearing bills of personalized services by urban districts. The all-inclusive payment settlement and top-up services will surely make your life easier.

 

9  All-inclusive Credit Card Services with Various Preferences and Conveniences    
The new platform is now able to provide some new credit-card-related services such as credit card installments application, reporting the loss of a credit card, bank transfer with master and supplementary credit cards, information inquiry for credit card extension, etc. In addition, the time span of bill information inquiry has been extended to 12 months. Also, it combined previous information billboard functions in Credit Card Market, Special Services and Information Billboard. That is to say, a customer now can timely have all information about any credit-card-related promotional and preferential activity as soon as he/she logs on the new platform. The diversified and value-added credit services will bring more convenience and colors into your life.     

10.  Multiple Security Tools Secure Customer Capitals and Transactions
The new platform is built on the basis of an upgraded security system that supports 2048-bit certificates and State Secret SM2 algorithm. All customer operations or transactions are now under the protection of USB key, dynamic password key, SMS validation code and other security measures, and security firewalls like E-banking suspension, private security questions, transaction limit control, multi-layered password validation, background real time monitoring, pre-set security information validation, as well as some of the world’s most sophisticated software and hardware network technologies. There are also security options available to customers for them to choose right security measures for different transaction needs and to ensure the security of their money. In short, you can conduct transactions in a highly secured environment.
 

11. Brand New Visual Design, Supporting Multiple Operating Systems

The new platform adopted a brand new UI design style that is adaptable to different screen sizes and resolutions. In addition to adding new financial overview and fast navigation functions, it supports PCs installed with MS Win8 Operating System, MS tablets, with its Win8 Concept Version, as well as Apple PCs and tablets installed with MAC Operating System, and both mouse-based operation and touch screen operation. The upgrade is an essential part of the easy-to-use and user-friendly attributes of the new CMBC Internet Banking platform to offer customers a brand new visual experience.

 

Log-on Procedure

 

Download and Install Controls and Drives

If this is the first time that you use CMBC Personal Internet Banking Platform, it is essential for you to download and install recommended controls and drives to successfully log on the platform.
When for the first time you enter the new Internet Banking Log-on Page, a pop-up prompt will instruct you to install relevant controls necessary for running CMBC Internet Banking system. You may click the URL link, [Download and install CMBC Internet Banking Security Upgrades], in the [install security upgrades] window to start installation. It is recommended that you close all browsers before install the controls. If you may encounter any problem, please click URL Link, [CMBC Internet Banking Users’ Manual], and follow the instruction.

 

How to log on

During the transition period, there are 3 methods for you to log on the new Internet Banking Platform.
Log on CMBC Internet Banking Platform’s General Edition or VIP Edition, and then, a dialog box will pop up. Click [YES] to directly log on the new Internet Banking system;
Log on CMBC Internet Banking Edition or its VIP Edition, and then, click on the function menu on new Internet Banking system page to directly log on the system;
Directly log on the new Internet Banking Platform through the new Internet Banking Log-on Page at www.cmbc.com.cn;

 

Logon Prompts

Your logon name must be a 3-32 digit combination of numbers, letters and underscore. Letters may be in capitals or small letters. You may proceed to modify your logon name in the Setup function of the Internet Banking Home Page.  
When a contracted user of the old CMBC Internet Banking system tries to log on the new Internet Banking Platform, the new Platform shall by default take your user’s name or number as your logon name/account number of the new platform. You may also choose to use the number of any of your debit card which has been bonded with your Internet Banking Account to log on the new Platform. Or, if you have already plugged your USB Key to your PC/tablet, the system shall display your user’s name as the logon name.
The logon password shall be a 6-20 digit combination of numbers, letters or number-and-letters in either capitals or small letters. You may proceed to modify your logon name in the Setup function of the Internet Banking Home Page.
When a contracted user of the old CMBC Internet Banking system tries to log on the new Internet Banking Platform, the new Platform shall by default take the VIP Edition logon password as your logon password of the new platform. For a user of the General Edition, you must use the number of any of your debit card which has been bonded with your Internet-Banking Account and the corresponding password to log on the new Platform and then proceed to modify your logon password.
When a contracted user of the old CMBC Internet Banking system tries to log on the new Internet Banking Platform, if you happen to have forgotten your logon password, you may still successfully log on through the [Forgotten Logon Password] function on the logon page by following the page prompts to enter your personal account number and identification number to retrieve your password. Then, by entering the validation number combination sent to your contracted cell phone by SMS, you may re-set your logon password.
If it is your first time to log on the new Internet Banking Platform, the system will automatically prompt you to install a new Internet Banking Security Control. If you have a SUB Key, the system will prompt you to upgrade the drives of your USB Key. Then, after the drive upgrades have been successfully done, when a customer conducts any transaction on CMBC’s VIP, Corporate or E-Merchants editions, the system will automatically add a USB Key password authentication step.

*Note:

1、The transfer limits of different remitting paths will not exceed the single or same-day transfer limits a customer has set up when he/she applying for the VIP Edition of CMBC I-Banking Platform. The transfer sum is also subject to the transfer limits stipulated by the service bank in which the customer has opened the account.

2、The time of receipt of large/small sum transfers depends on …:

  1.  Both the paying and receiving banks must have linked in the large sum payment system;

  2. The incoming transfer processing mechanism of the receiving bank. Specifically speaking, if the receiving bank has an automatic incoming transfer process system, the transfer will be a real time transfer; If, however, the receiving bank has to process an incoming transfer manually, the receiver would have to wait a bit longer before the money is transferred into the target account; 

  3. If the receiver’s information provided by the transferor is inconsistent with the information recorded by the handling bank, the time of receipt shall depend on the speed of manual processing of the handling bank. For CMBC, it is required that the sum must be remitted the same day it is transferred or the next business day, the latest. 

  4. If the receiving bank has not linked in the large sum payment system but the money has to be transferred through the system, the time of receipt shall depend on the transfer processing speed of both paying and receiving banks.

User’s Credit Points of CMBC Personal Internet Banking Platform

In return for the kind patronage of our Internet Banking users, CMBC has launched a User’s Credit Point program. Any customer who conducted any transaction through CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform is entitled to a certain number of user’s credit points which can be traded for gifts.  

1.  What is the User’s Credit Point of CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform?
The User’s Credit Point (‘Credit Point’) refers to the points that a user of CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform is awarded each time he/she conducts one of CMBC particularly designated services on the CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform.  

2. Qualification
Any CMBC Personal Internet Banking customer is entitled to the Credit Points activity. (CMBC credit cards customers are excluded from the activity for they are entitled to other similar activities.)
CMBC has every right to disqualify any customer from participating into the activity if he/she is suspended or restricted from using CMBC Personal Internet Banking system, or if he/she should fail to clear his/her debts to CMBC, or if he/she should maliciously defraud CMBC of the Credit Points, or if he/she should violate other CMBC’s legitimate policies or rules.

3. How to accumulate your Credit Points?
You will be given a certain number of Credit Points each time you use our Personal Internet Banking platform to conduct a bank transfer, clear a payment, purchase any fund project to which CMBC serves as an agent, purchase any treasury bond to which CMBC serves as an agent, purchase a wealth management program, conduct any foreign exchange transaction, or make any online payment.  
From time to time, CMBC will run Personal Internet Banking marketing/promotional activities from which a user may collect additional credit points;
If a customer has several CMBC cards under the same customer number and he/she uses these cards to conduct transactions, the credit points given to different CMBC cards will be added together and calculated as a whole.  
If a customer has registered and been using more than one Personal Internet Banking edition, the credit points generated when he/she uses the services provided on different editions shall be added together and calculated as a whole.
If the trade of the credit points that a customer has accumulated should be canceled for any reason, or if such trade should fail due to dispute or any other reason, CMBC shall deduct the same number of credit points used in such trades.

5. The Start Time of Credit Points Calculation
Credit points will be written into your credit point account the day after the book date of a transaction conducted on the CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform.

6. How to check out your credit points?
Please log on CMBC Personal Internet Banking system and click [credit management] -> [Personal Internet Banking Credit Points] -> [Check My Credit Points] to review your credit points.

7. How to use your credit points
Whenever your credit points reach a gift-trade-off line, you may trade your credit points for any gift on that line. Pease stay tune for our trade-off announcement.

8. The nature of the credit points?
The credit points can only be used for trading for gifts that CMBC provides for relevant activities or any other purposes that CMBC may specify. And the credit points shall not be deemed as personal assets of a CMBC Personal Internet Banking customer, nor can it be cashed.

9. Interpretation and Adjustment of CMBC Personal Internet Banking Credit Points
CMBC reserves the right for final interpretation of its Credit Point policies and the right to make any change to the policies as it deems necessary.

10. Answers to FAQs
When would my credit points be written into my account?
It would be written into your account the day after the transaction day.
I have several CMBC debit cards. Do I get the Personal Internet Banking credit points when I use every one of them? Can I group the credit points of different debit cards together and trade them for gifts?
At present, the Personal Internet Banking credit points are available to all CMBC debit cards. The credit points of different CMBC debit cards will be automatically written into the same credit point account, if you use the same ID certificate to open all these debit cards. And therefore, you can of course group such credit points together and trade them for gifts.
How to trade credit points for gifts?
You can trade for gifts as soon as your total credit points reach a trade-off threshold. Please keep an eye on the latest CMBC updates for specific trading rules.
How can I check my credit points?
You could log on CMBC Personal Internet Banking platform and then click [credit management] -> [Personal Internet Banking Credit Points] -> [Check My Credit Points] to review the status of your credit points
